Cosmelan

Cosmelan® is an enzymatic peel for the treatment of the most severe and stubborn skin blemishes.

However, unlike conventional peels, Cosmelan® visibly eliminates and lightens pigmentation spots like a peel while correcting excessive pigmentation production.

How is Cosmelan® treatment applied?

The cream mask applied by the doctor in the clinic is asked to stay on the skin for 8-12 hours and to be cleaned at the end of the period. Patients are advised to use the follow-up kit at home for a minimum of 6 months to achieve optimum results. Regular use of sunscreen is very important with the treatment.

What side effects can I expect during Cosmelan® treatment?

The application of Cosmelan® may cause irritation or redness of the skin. This is to be expected and will disappear within a few days. During this period, it is very important to use the recommended soothing creams and to protect from the sun.

When will I start to see an effect with Cosmelan® treatment?

Significant effect is seen in the first weeks after treatment. However, the full effect is observed in the 6th month with the use of the home kit.

Can Cosmelan® treatment be repeated?

In resistant spots, treatment can be repeated annually.

Will my spots be permanently removed during Cosmelan® treatment?

With Cosmelan® treatment, spots are significantly reduced. However, it is important to continue regular use of household products and sunscreen as spots may recur after treatment.
