Scarless Hair Loss
Telogen Effluvium
It is the type of shedding observed when many hair follicles on the same island pass into the resting phase during the hair growth phase. It can be seen due to metabolic diseases (especially thyroid diseases), vitamin and mineral deficiency, hormonal reasons, post-pregnancy, trauma and stress.
Androgenetic Alopecia
It is also defined as male pattern hair loss. While the incidence increases with age in men, the incidence increases in women after menopause. Although hormonal causes are blamed, the exact cause of the disease is unknown.
Alopecia Areata
It is observed in the form of round hairless areas that start suddenly in the hair. Although it is mostly on the scalp, there may also be hair loss in the beard and other hairy body areas (Alopecia Totalis). Sometimes the loss of all hairs can be seen (Alopecia Universalis). Alopecia areata is considered an autoimmune disease and may coexist with other autoimmune diseases. For this reason, it is important to evaluate patients in terms of type 1 diabetes and pernicious anemia, especially Hashimoto's Thyroid.
Scarred Hair Loss
Scarred hair loss is seen in folliculitis decalvans, pelad, lichen pilanopilaris and some collagen tissue diseases.
Clarifying the causes of hair loss is important for the effectiveness of treatment. The treatments to be applied should be the correction of the underlying diseases and the replacement of vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Treatment is supported by topical serums, lotions and shampoos that provide hair growth and trigger growth, as well as mesotherapy and PRP applications.
Varicose veins are the appearance of enlarged, blue-purple and red veins that can be seen just under the surface of the skin.
